"Left me Falling Love and Crying - Great Listen!"
Overall
Performance
Story
Let me start with the narrator which can be a deciding factor to any book that I listen to. It can decide whether or not I will listen to a book from start to finish in a few days or over a lengthy time frame or they are not doing the story justice and I stop listening. The narrator Shiromi Arserio did the book justice. Her even tone voice and the way the story leaves you wondering what will happen next was right on the mark.

Now the story itself. I feel in love with the 3 main characters. The author keeps the listener or reader wanting to learn more about the main character Abby. As the book opens up you think why this young teen throwing away her college career with bad academics. Who is this Robbie? And why are her parents the way they are!

Abby leaves very subtle hints about a relationship with her boyfriend Robbie. What has happen to what seemingly seems to be a bad relationship. However, as the book moves forward keeping the listener/reader guessing till her day in Sydney, Australia with the next main character, Sage. She reveals the reason behind her relationship with Robbie.

Sage as the character meets Abby for the first time. You find yourself falling for him right from the start. How the flushing Abby feelings are confused since she is there in Australia to work on an organic farm to clear her head (okay run away) from her feelings for Robbie. She wanted the solitude to try and see if she could come to terms with the relationship. As she writes letters to Robbie and putting them in these purple envelopes will she send them or are they part of something else?

The next character Susan, the owner of the organic farm. She is a good grounding character between Sage and Abby. Her young and good advice leaves Abby thinking she is butting in to get her and Sage together. But, as the story winds down becomes the friend that Abby never thought she could have. Learning the backstory to Susan's life on the farm.

So as to not spoil the listen/read this book actually had me welling up with my own emotions of losing a love one. This book really caught me off guard (in a good way)and at the end of the listen hoping for more of Sage and Abby coming in Book 2. At least I hope they are part of the next book. But, leaving the reader with the feeling there is always a second chance in life's loves.

5.0 out of 5 stars A different kind of Cinderella Story!May 17, 2015
By Sapphire Reader (Mountain Top, PA, United States)
This review is from: The Cinderella Deal (Audible Audio Edition)
Daisy Flattery is a free as it can be character. Makes you want to be her. I love the way she is so giving, free-spirited and willing to take on a challenge. Even if the challenge to save her apartment is to pretend to be engaged to her obnoxious neighbor Linc Blaise.

Linc on the their first meeting thought what a space cadet. She dresses like a flower child of the 60's. She is not the type of girl he would ever consider dating let alone be engaged to. However, he needs someone of her caliber to pretend to be engaged to him to land a huge job offer at an university.

Upon receiving his dream job he realizes that he has to keep up the charade until they can play up a breakup. What Linc was not counting on is the infectious personality of Daisy. Will faith take over his heart or will he keep to a deal and that is the end of it?

All I can say is that Jennifer Cruise has such a cute way of writing these fairy tales of love. This was one of those stories that you just want to see as a Hallmark or Lifetime movie. Susan Boyce was a delight as she performed the characters throughout the book making them all come to life and add to the personalities of each of them. Draws you into each scene as it takes place.

From Daisy being her flaky, giving self to Linc's somber this is the way is should be demeanor. To the town's folk that she brings into their lives. I like this story so much this is one that I actually did listen to 2 times.

I guarantee that this will be on your fav list of romance comedies.

"A listen thru Book from Start to Finish"
Overall
Performance
Story
The narrator Kelly Fumo really kept this book flowing from start to finish. I compare her to Dina Pearlman that does the Anna Strong Series by Jeanne C Stein. Kelly has me on ready for the next in the series!

The characters were well fitted to the story. Found myself drawn into the story and actually seeing the characters in my mind. The chemistry between Terra and Wolfie is predictable but the story does have a few twist and turns. Terra's flight from her family life as a werewolf and how she is drawn back to the pack at her fathers' request for her or her nephew she has never seen. How will she handle it? Well without a spoiler to the story this quick 4 1/2 hr read will have you hanging on from start to finish wanting more!

I really do hope that the next book is longer! Enjoy the read!

THROWBACK THURSDAY - BORN IN TRILOGY by Nora Roberts

Throwback Thursday Review
All performed by Fiacre Douglas
Between 9 hours and 5 mins to 10 hours 38 mins
All have a 4.0+ rating with several hundred reviews for each
Contemporary Romance
My rating for all three books is a 5.0 stars

My thoughts on this Trilogy!
Back when I use to by books on CD! Even though I have not formerly rated this trilogy out in the book world I will need to get around to catching up on that!

This was my first experience of Nora Roberts. You are thinking are you crazy! She's great! Yes, but this was back in 2007 and after that I listen to this trilogy.
I came across these books on CD at a church rummage sale with many others. This set had the first 2 in the trilogy and being the listener that I am had to buy the third one before starting the series.

Born in Fire: Book 1

I fell in love with this story from the beginning with Maggie Concannon and her stubborn personality that soon melted away by gallery owner Rogan Sweeney.
How her love for making beautiful glass creations and how Rogan fell for her work and immediately knew he had to have her. Working a delicate weave of compassion till he finally wins over Maggie.

Born in Ice: Book 2

Moving into Book 2 with Maggie's younger sister, Brianna now taking the family home into a bed and breakfast. However, the winter is upon Ireland and no tourist to keep the inn going. But, that is fine now she has peace and quiet. But, that is soon to change with an american writer coming to spend the winter alone writing his book.
In steps Grayson Thane. Will a fire be lite under Maggie's sister Brianna. A fire that will melt that ice coated heart of hers. You will surely fall deep into the book. As it ends you dive right into...

Born in Shame: Book 3

Shannon Bodine is a graphic artist that lives in New York. Then her world is turned upside down, sideways and every ways in between. When her mother tells her the true
identity of her father. That she wants her to go to Ireland and she goes reluctantly.
Shannon learns to go past the shame of meeting her new found family.
Does she meet her love as well.

You will fall in love with this Trilogy as I did. One that can be revisited at any time. One that I thought perfect for Throwback Thursday Review!

I am currently listening to her latest trilogy between reviewing other books.
The Cousin O'Dwyer Trilogy another sure winner!!!

"Non-stop Dragon's ride for sure!"
Overall
Performance
Story
To Light The Dragon's Fire: Dragons, Griffons and Centaurs, Oh My! By Margaret Taylor. Narrated by Fred Wolinsky.

Oh my, is how I felt Margaret Taylor has written the beginnings of a fantastic series. A lot was packed into this slightly 7+ hour audiobook. I fell in love with every character from the good guys to the bad guys. Even though I routed for the good guys all the way thru the book.

So let me get started here! The beginning is a great place! Twin sisters out on a last adventure hiking the mountains of Wyoming. That’s before one of them, Terra is going to be married in a few days to a man she really is not that in love with. Then why get married? Well, for Tara it is was a way to save her dad’s dying company. The other is Lanni her sister who feels that she is past the age for any true romance. Well, the girls enter a cave finding themselves falling down thru the shifting sand in the tunnel.

Well, they certainly did find themselves in a whole different world for sure. Terra thought for sure it was a last minute fantasy gift that her sister bought her before she got married. Lanni told her no. The girls find that they were indeed thrown into an adventure that they were not too happy about at first. But, as it proceeded for one reason or another they could not help thinking that they seem to know they were supposed to be here. Meeting the King as they entered the strange world. How dare Terra be so drawn to the King Draven? King Draven in all words is one hot king! Well described. Though I did not feel that the cover truly portrayed him. Then Lanni found herself also falling for Aaron, Draven’s right hand man. Well, the girls soon find out they are not quite as human as they thought. Each man also are drawn to these girls. But, why? The girls find trouble constantly. First, with the bad man that needs these 2 girls! Why was it so important that he have both girls? Well, it is a fantasy filled with magic. This story is filled with a lot of fun, danger and not so fun characters that it all balances well for the story to work the way it does. This series is meant for ADULT reading. There are some spicy wording throughout the book with not sex scenes but the impromptu of wanting it by Draven and Aaron for the girls. So just be warned.

I did at one point find myself a tad confused when they use other names for the girls. Happened when Draven and Aaron spoke of the girls by these other names. But, I did finally catch on. So it was not a truly a deal breaker to stop listening to this audio.

I felt this book was a bit of Eragon, a dash of Deborah Harkness’s All Soul’s Series, and a dash of Terah Edun, Crown Series.

All I can say is that this other world is one fantasy I did not want to stop listening to. Knowing that this is the first in the series of books did not stop me from listening to this book! Not that I did not know that this was not a stand-alone book. I was not happy with the abrupt ending. I know there was some unhappy reviews to this fact. However, if they read the reviews they would have seen this. Don’t let this sway you from not reading this series. It is not like there is not another book readily available for you not to continue. It also is not like that oh she is describing a book I read already. No it has its own unique qualities that you will enjoy as much as I did. However, as far as the audio version there is only one so far. Though you can still dive into the next book! I just wish it ended a bit more fulfilling.

Now the narrator, Fred Wolinsky. His performance was first class. I felt the way he portrayed each characters voice was so believable. The girls were okay voices but it is no different if this was a female narrator doing male voices. The not so human characters he gave each of them amusing voices. I really hope that Fred continues the series of this book! Nothing is more disappointing when a new narrator starts a new book. Takes a bit to either to get use to or I just don’t finish listening to the series.

This audio was provided to me by the narrator and in no way was I influenced. The review above is solely my opinion of not only the book but the narration of it. I always welcome comments and if my review was helpful or not in you listening to this book please let me know.
